Det ble ogs\u00e5 bestemt at det skulle v\u00e6re sn\u00f8smelting p\u00e5 torget, som kobles opp via fjernvarmeanlgget i byen. Sn\u00f8smelting fremmer trygg ferdsel i vinter\u00e5ret for myke trafikanter. Torget skulle ogs\u00e5 v\u00e6re universelt utformet, slik at det er sikret god framkommelig for alle og dermed ogs\u00e5 v\u00e6re en naturlig m\u00f8teplass.<\/p><p>Hinnstein har v\u00e6rt totalleverand\u00f8r for alle tekniske fag, utf\u00f8rt detaljprosjektering, gjennomf\u00f8rt anbudsbeskrivelse, utlysning og kontrahering av entrepren\u00f8rer til prosjektet.\u00a0<\/p><p>Dette er det f\u00f8rste av flere prosjekter kommunen skal gjennomf\u00f8re for \u00e5 gj\u00f8r sentrum mer attraktiv og tilgjengelig for publikum. Harstad sentrum skal v\u00e6re rom for b\u00e5de handel, aktiviteter, lek, rekreasjon og
